The Perfect Timing for Your Keepsake Ultrasound
The ideal time for a Keepsake Ultrasound can vary depending on your preferences and the level of detail you wish to capture. Here’s a general guideline:
1st Trimester (7-14 weeks):
This early glimpse can reveal the fetal heartbeat and basic developmental milestones.
2nd Trimester (20-26 weeks):
This is a fun time for 4D ultrasound (video) due to the baby being more active & yet still small enough to see most of their body at once. Capture them sucking their thumb or kicking their tiny legs. However, the baby will likely be breech which is not ideal for 3D/4D face pictures.
3rd Trimester (27-34 weeks):
Witness your baby’s growth and development at a later stage. This is the best time to get the most detailed and close up pictures of your baby’s face (3D/HD). The ideal position for best face images is when the baby is in the head down position. The baby’s face is more detailed and filled out with fat at this stage.
Gender (16-20 weeks):
This is the best time to find out the gender but may also get fantastic 3D images of the entire body of the fetus.
